You get more house for the money with a quality made, energy efficient, factory built home. You can even customize one to your specifications and family needs.
Site builders want to get a house "in the dry" as soon as possible to protect the building materials and interior from exposure to the elements- wasting time and ruining materials. Site-built homes and manufactured homes use the same materials, equipment, and techniques. However, a manufactured home lowers costs from issues like weather delays, material damage and loss. Skilled craftworkers, using an assembly-line construction process, are more specialized than the typical site-built construction worker. The construction process is more efficient, precise, and saves time & money. A lower cost per square foot gives you more house for the same money. Until the house moves to your lot, the construction materials have never been subjected to weather. You also have many custom options to fit your housing needs.
Our homes meet Federal HUD construction and safety regulations, not just local building codes. Windows are energy efficient. Insulation meets Federal codes. Federal wind and earthquake resistance regulations make our homes safe and sturdy. Site built homes are not always HUD compliant. Ours are.
A custom-ordered, double-wide, factory-built home can be constructed and on your site in about 6-8 weeks. The typical site-built house takes 4-9 months to complete.
New financial regulations adopted by the federal government (known as the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act) took effect on January 15, 2014 changing the ways financial institutions do business, also affecting consumers applying for mortgages. The law is to promote the financial stability of the United States by improving accountability and transparency in the financial system, to end "too big to fail", to protect the American taxpayer by ending bailouts, to protect consumers from abusive financial services practices, and for other purposes.
